I leveraged coding and data analysis using Python as a language and Google Colab to build a strategic fantasy NFL draft board focused on identifying running backs and wide receivers with high usage and clear opportunities. By analysing player usage metrics and team offensive tendencies, I was able to pinpoint undervalued talent especially amongst struggling teams like the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants, where workload and opportunity matter most. For example, players like Brock Bowers and Malik Nabers, who saw heavy involvement in their offences despite their teams’ overall challenges (who I had also made notes of during their successful college careers at Georgia and LSU respectively) were key draft picks that led me to win my inaugural fantasy football championship.

This project sharpened my data literacy and Python programming skills and strengthened my ability to translate raw data into actionable insights for talent scouting and decision-making. By combining statistical analysis with domain knowledge, I developed a practical approach to player evaluation that goes beyond traditional rankings and highlights emerging opportunities in dynamic situations.
